Game rules
Goal of the game
Two phases: win 4 cards by guessing, then get rid of them in the Pyramid by making the others drink… bluffing if you have to.
Phase 1: The deal
In turn, 4 questions, one card each time: Red or Black? Higher or Lower than your previous card? Inside or outside your first two cards? Which suit? A wrong answer costs 1, then 2, 3 and 4 sips, and a tie counts as wrong. Memorize your 4 cards, and their order: after that, they are hidden.
Phase 2: The Pyramid
15 cards face down on 5 floors, turned over one by one. A card is worth 1 sip on the first floor, and up to 5 at the top. If you have a card of the same value, give it to someone: they drink.
The bluff
You can also give a card you don't have! The target drinks, or calls the bluff: you then have to find your card among your hidden cards. If it's the right one, the target drinks double and your card is played. Otherwise, you drink double. If the target drinks without a word, you keep your card.
End of the game
When the whole Pyramid is turned over, or when nobody has any cards left. The thirstiest loses!
Frequently asked questions
How many players for Pyramid?
From 2 to 9 players.
Do you need a deck of cards?
No. The app deals the cards, builds the Pyramid and hides your 4 cards after the first phase: you only have to remember them.
How does bluffing work?
You can give away a card you don't have. If the target calls your bluff, you must find your card among your hidden ones: whoever is wrong drinks double.
Can you play Pyramid without alcohol?
Yes: count points or forfeits instead of sips, or play with soft drinks. If you drink, drink responsibly, and never drive afterwards.
