The newlywed quiz puts the guests to the test: who knows the couple best? How they met, their habits, their travel memories… Each table plays as a team and the best one wins a token prize, or first place at the dessert table. Here is how to run it and 100 questions sorted by theme, to fill in with your couple's answers.
How to run it
- Prepare the answers with an accomplice: a best man, a maid of honour or a close friend who knows the couple well, or the newlyweds themselves if you want to involve them.
- Pick 15 to 20 questions, mixing easy ones with those only close friends know.
- Play table by table: each table is a team and writes its answers on a sheet.
- Reveal the answers one by one: each answer is a chance for a story, told by the couple or a witness.
- Reward the winning table, and the most creative one.

Frequently asked questions
How do you run a newlywed quiz?
Each table forms a team with an answer sheet. The host reads about twenty questions between two courses, then the answers are checked together: the table with the most right answers wins a small prize.
How many questions should you pick?
About twenty of the 100 on this page, taken from several themes. The quiz then lasts around twenty minutes, the ideal length during a meal.
Can you run the newlywed quiz on a phone?
Yes: with the My quizzes feature of the Quiz in the Partizo app (Premium), each question has its right answer and three wrong ones, with a timer and the teams' scores.
The newlywed quiz in the app
Rather than answer sheets, put the quiz in the Partizo app with the Quiz's My quizzes feature (Premium): each question with the right answer and three wrong ones, the timer and the score, all together or as a duel between two teams (the bride's family against the groom's, for example). You can prepare the quiz on a computer with our template file, and hand it to the host.
